  • A range of outpatient services meeting the needs of youth ages 12-17 and their families.
  • Drop-in intake, Individual and Family Counseling, and Parent Support Groups.
  • Long-term Intensive Day Treatment, including an on-site school. Admission to the intensive program is based on an assessment of problem severity.
  • Residential support is an option for clients from out-of-town or who need stabilization during recovery.

  • A multi-disciplinary team delivers a comprehensive 4-week treatment program for adults who require assistance overcoming addictive dependency.
  • Education counseling, individualized therapy, group therapy and recreation are all major components.
  • Fee: Free to those who have current Alberta Health Care coverage.
  • Length: 4 weeks.
  • Admission: Call to initiate a referral.

  • 72-bed residential treatment centre providing intensive treatment for adults with serious alcohol or drug problems.
  • Clients are admitted every Monday.
  • Gender specific treatment programs for men and women address their unique needs and issues.
  • Length: Residential treatment program is approximately 19 days (may be longer or shorter depending on individual needs).
  • Admission: By application.
  • Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • This is a multi-purpose addiction centre.
  • Detoxification, assessment and referral. Open 24 hours a day. Drop-in basis.
  • Treatment Services: 18-day program designed to help clients and family members affected by alcohol and other drugs.

  • 54-bed residential treatment centre dedicated to meeting the needs of men and women affected by addictions and addictive behaviour (54 beds).
  • The treatment program combines Aboriginal spirituality with other complementary modalities, such as 12-step programming.
  • Length: Substance abuse treatment program is 42 days, Clients who successfully complete the 42-day program are eligible for a 14-day follow-up program within their first year of sobriety. Problem gambling treatment program is 14 days.
  • Admission: By application.
  • Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

 

POUNDMAKER’S ADOLESCENT TREATMENT CENTRE

  • Residential treatment centre addressing all areas of addiction in youth aged 12 to 17 (30 beds onsite for male clients; 10 beds in "host homes" for female clients).
  • All program components reflect Aboriginal culture and values. Four hours a day, clients attend a unique academic program approved by Alberta Learning. They also take part in healthy, positive in door and outdoor recreational activities.
  • Length: 90 days. Within six months of completing treatment, clients are eligible for a 30-day follow-up program.
  • Admission: By application.
  • Hours: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
