Anger is a very normal emotion, though many of us have a difficult time expressing it appropriately. Learning how to experience and manage our emotions is a valuable tool in recovery.
Understanding Anger is a practical course which provides skills in recognizing, processing and expressing anger in healthy ways. Participants will have a better understanding of their emotional "hot buttons," be able to handle conflict more effectively and gain insight into what makes them "tick."
Understanding Anger is offered 4 times per year. The program is free and open to both men and women. It is required that participants be clean and sober for one week prior to starting the program.
